Course Content & Schedule

The first aid course for the driving licence is a legally required course according to § 19 FeV (German Driving Licence Regulation). It comprises 9 teaching units of 45 minutes and covers all important first aid measures – from the recovery position to CPR and wound care. The course is mandatory for all driving licence classes.

The course lasts approximately 7.5 hours including breaks. It takes place as a compact full-day course from 09:00 to approx. 16:30 – so you are done in just one Saturday.

Yes! Our first aid course is recognized per § 19 FeV for all driving licence classes: car (class B), motorcycle (A, A1, A2), truck (C, CE), bus (D) and all others. The certificate is also valid for university enrolment, coaching licences or workplace first aiders.

The course includes hands-on first aid exercises such as: recovery position, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using an AED defibrillator, wound care and bandaging techniques, helmet removal for motorcyclists, and recognizing heart attack, stroke and shock. The contents comply with DGUV regulations.

Certificate & Documents

Yes, you will receive your participation certificate immediately after the course. You can submit it right away as part of your driving licence documents – no waiting, no follow-up needed.

Please bring a valid ID card or passport to the course. Without valid identification, no certificate can be issued. For the driving licence authority you typically need: ID, first aid certificate, eye test certificate and biometric passport photos. Please wear comfortable clothing.

The first aid certificate is valid indefinitely. However, some driving licence authorities only accept certificates less than 2 years old. If in doubt, please check with your local authority.

The course fee is paid on site on the day of the course. No advance online payment is required.

The course is conducted exclusively in German. Sufficient German language skills are required to follow the course content and participate in practical exercises.
